Norwegian Sun - Owners Suite AA1203

We just upgraded to the Owners Suite after the nice lady called on the phone. I was kinda hoping someone would call.

Is there a lit of the benefits of staying int his suite? The lady on the phone rattled some off but I didn't get them all and want to make sure I enjoy all of them as often as possible.

The suite is above the bridge to the right with an enormous balcony and hot tub. We are a party of 7 so I anticipate us all piling onto this balcony at every waking moment. Luckily we now have part of our party in cabins at the rear and front of the ship so photo opportunities will be enormous.

You will love it! We just got back from our first suite experience in AA1003, also due to an upsell. For us, the largest benefits were having our butler bring us meals in the cabin, being able to eat breakfast and lunch in Il Adagio, and the priority debarkation arranged by the concierge, Karin. The huge balcony was also great for the trip up Endicott arm for viewing the scenery, wildlife and glacier. Even on days when it was too cold or windy to be out on the balcony, the huge doors make great windows and the view is unbelievable. Enjoy!

Hi there

I am assuming if I invite the rest of my family to dinner there would be 7 of us we could cater all of them if we wanted for breakfast, lunch and dinner? 2 of them are in mini suites and one a balcony?

I like the idea of spending dinner times in our own cabin in our own dining room, makes life much easier especially with parents in their mid 80's.

Unfortunately the weather doesn't look too hot for next week but hey whatever.

Talk with your butler about meals for 7. He is probably willing to do that, but you do want to plan in advance. For instance, if you want dinner one evening have your order ready before lunch and be flexible with times (each butler serves 10 suites on the Sun). Your living room will be a little crowded with 7, and three will have to eat at the sofa using the coffee table, as the dining table is a bit small even for four. Also, don't forget to tip the butler for all that work!

We have the owner's suite on the Pearl in April. In addition to what has been said, I've been told we get champagne in our suite at embarkation, and a bar set-up of 3 bottles of alcohol from the list. Also, we get a choice of sodas that will be replenished in our cabin refrigerator. The concierge will make reservations at the specialty restaurants if we want. Concierge also has specially reserved seats for the shows. The butler will serve meals from the specialty restaurants in your cabin (restaurant service charges still apply).

I don't know if these perks change by ship or not. We'll find out as we also have an owner's suite on the Majesty in August. They do not have a butler.

Do be sure to plan on an appropriate gratuity for the concierge's and butler's service.

I suppose the gratuity will depend on if I use them. If I don't use the concierge at all which is highly likely I wont tip him. The butler I probably anticipate using and will of course tip.

Just for your info the concierge you will meet and most likely be taken to your suite on embarkment day. They will also arrange excursions and get you priority tender tickets if needed , as well as vip seating for the shows so don't rule out a tip just yet.

Hi. I am not ruling out tipping but my excursion tickets which I have already booked would end up in my suite anyway whatever class of ticket I would have booked.

As for getting to my cabin, I am quite capable of getting myself to my cabin but would probably slip someone $5 or so for escorting us to our cabin on arrival.

I am not cheap by any means, I just am not going to throw my money away.
