greencruiser17 Posted June 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2009 Hi all! Im traveling with my husband and kids at the end of august and want to know if there is any feedback out there about Gumbalimba Park.. I can not find any reviews of it.. Is it worth seeing? and is the ship offered tour of 3 hours enough to see and do everything? Thanks :)
Terrafreaky Posted June 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2009 We took a Gumbalimba Park/Tabyana Beach excursion. I absolutely LOVED the monkeys! I'd say it is worth seeing. There's a rope bridge, time to hold and do photos with monkeys, photos/holding parrots, a tour of the plants & Roatan history. We really enjoyed it. Sanddiver Posted June 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2009 Monkeys that have been imported and are not native to Roatan. They are used as a tourist attraction because everyone loves the monkeys
smc0320 Posted June 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2009 We are also interested in going to Gumbalimba Park...but we want to do the beach too? I know they have a beach there...how does it compare to Tabyana Beach? Is it safe in the park...like free from hotiles with guns? Is everything done at your leisure or is the whole thing...including beach time...guided?
