Beaches or Ruins

What is best Beaches or Ruins? Can you get a taxi cab? What is the price?

Do they have cars or vans for taxis? Can I get a english speaking guide.

The best beach in Cozumel (in my opinion) is Paradise Beach. Cab fare from your pier will be $12-13 each way for up to 4 passengers. There are both cars and vans for taxis. The vans generally cost double the fare of a car plus $2, although it is sometimes negotiable.

 

The best ruins in Cozumel are San Gervasio. The cab fare (round trip, waiting for you) is $45. They have English speaking guides at the ruins.

How many miles from the dock? I may do the Altun Ha Ruins in Belize.It sounds great.

Sure, cab fare to Paradise Beach is $12-13 for up to four passengers, depending on where you dock. Mileage is about 5 miles from Puerta Maya and International piers, 9 miles from Punta Langosta.

Am on Carnival Glory do they have more than one area where they dock?

I would like to go to Paradise beaches.Taking a taxi that's great with me.

The Glory generally docks at Puerta Maya, a $12 taxi ride to Paradise Beach. February temps are generally in the low to mid 80's during the day, mid 70's at night.

Do they charges a % on credit card?

In Belize I read that they charge 5% on credit cards.

PB is a great place for lunch and they do not add a surcharge for credit card purchases.

I really wanted to see some Mayan architecture, but when all the literature for San Gervasio starts out with the word "unimpressive", it loses it's allure. Conquest won't be in port long enough to make the trip out to Playa del Carmen or Chichen Itza :(

 

I suppose I could just pose for pictures with the replicas at Chankanaab, my friends won't know the difference (but I will).
