Drinks on Oceana

Hi all

 

as a new member both to the site and to cruising could someone tell me if you areallowed to take wine onboard for use in your cabin and how much are drinks at the bar, ie.. beer, shorts etc..

 

we sail on 30th October on the Transatlantic.

Hi Bridmo

 

You can take wine on board for consumption in the cabin. There is a ploicy that they will only stop alcohol being taken on board if you are misbehaving. As for bar prices I can't remember exactly but they are average UK pub prices. A pint of beer was £2.35 and a large glass of house wine £2.45 as far as I recall.

I always take on a winebox 3l for a 2week cruise, fits in the fridge, we have a balcony cabin and enjoy a glass out there in the late afternoon/early evening.

Thanks for that LibaLass41, we to have a balcony and thought it would be nice to sit there with a drink before going for evening meal but as it's our first time wasn't sure whether it was possible.

One thing is....spirits are really cheap by the bottle on board ...Litre Bacardi £11, it's the flippin' mixers they sting you for, I would take some with you, ice & lemon for instance will be provided by your steward..just ask.

great info, we are so excited andreally looking forward to this cruise, there's 2 couples and neither of us have cruised before but everyone keeps telling us once you do a cruise you won't want to do anything else ? only 19 weeks to go............
