Cruisefan7 Posted June 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2009 I got married on the Pride in April...the chapel only holds 40 people--because we had 36, plus the photographer and the videographer, we were put in the butterflies lounge for the ceremony. The Taj Mahal, I think would be way too big for a ceremony, but if the butterflies lounge is booked, then it would be the only other place...Heres a link to pictures of my wedding---- http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=246065&id=581815110&l=2bf0d9d6a1 http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=246148&id=581815110&l=da4dfd92e4 http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=246163&id=581815110&l=036ae90197 Let me know if you have any more questions! Beautiful pictures. You were a gorgeous bride. Lots of questions cause my daughter is getting married on the Pride 3/28/10. What type of reception did you have? Did all your guests sail? What picture package did you buy? Did you use a DJ? Did you have a video done? What was worth the money? What wasn't? What do you wish you had done differently? What exceeded your expectations? I just want her day to be special, hope I'm not being too nosey.
Cruisefan7 Posted June 24, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Beautiful pictures. You were a gorgeous bride. Lots of questions cause my daughter is getting married on the Pride 3/28/10. I appreciated all the help that I had on these boards, and would like to do the same. We had the deluxe romance package, which was perfect, except it was too short. But I think everyone has that complaint. All 36 of my guests did sail, since I didn't have a debarkation wedding. We left out of Miami on that Saturday and we got married in St. Thomas on Tuesday. We ended up buying the $1999 picture package...I'm not sure of the name, but he also included 2 cds with every single picture that he took..so it was worth it! We did use a DJ, but we provided a cd with all the songs that we wanted played. We did have the video done--I love it. It captured alot of things that I wasn't able to see (like my stepdaughter walk down the aisle), and alot of things that we will remember. The only thing that was bad about it was that he had called and asked us to meet him to go over the video, and then he ended up doing our interviews and following us around the boat that day--and we were dressed for the pool! So I wish I would have dressed a little nicer..I hadn't even showered. lol. But that was probably just us. I can't say that there was anything that wasn't worth the money. My flowers were ones that were included and I LOVED them. They were perfect. overall, the only thing I regret was having to worry about the wedding for the first part of the cruise. We had wanted to get married in St. Thomas and it was beautiful, but we werent able to relax the first few days, because we had to keep meeting with the hairdresser, and the hostess and the videographer and the photographer...we felt that we didn't get to divide our team equally between all of our guests and ourselves. After the wedding though, we were able to relax and enjoy our cruise. If you have any more questions, definitely feel free to ask!!!
cutemystique Posted May 14, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2012 Hi, I read your comments on not being able to really enjoy the cruise because the first few days you had to meet with everyone. Is there any way to avoid this, and get it all done ahead of time. I'm getting married on the pride on 9/5/2012 and really want to enjoy the whole cruise by getting everything done ahead of time. Will a ship tour help with that? and do you know how you arrange it
