tootsiescurly Posted June 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2009 This is not the week to be on the Splendor to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo. Looks like Hurricane Andres is creating some problems in Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.
luvvp Posted June 24, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Port authorities said the arrival of Carnival Splendor has been rescheduled from Wed - July 1. So is this saying the itinerary has changed for the this cruise and the next? I don't get it. I'm going to take this cruise in late Sept and hoping we won't have to deal with hurricanes.

G'ma Posted June 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2009 It's not causing any problems......tropical depression/storm. That's the chance you take when you cruise during the season. I only cruise when school is in session which puts me in the Sept, Oct, Nov time frame and I've never had a problem... A few port changes or dropped ports and some rough water is about it. Liffey Posted June 24, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Port authorities said the arrival of Carnival Splendor has been rescheduled from Wed - July 1. So is this saying the itinerary has changed for the this cruise and the next? I don't get it. http://www.wtop.com/index.php?nid=104&sid=1699388 says this: "In Puerto Vallarta, port authorities said the arrival of the cruise ship Carnival Splendor was rescheduled from Wednesday to July 1." (Emphasis mine.) Sounds like PV was cancelled for Splendor on this week's cruise, but it will dock in PV on July 1 as planned for next week's cruise.
