Getting from Venice train station (either one) to Marittima Cruise Termina

Does anyone know a good way other than the expensive taxi to get fom eithe Mestre or St. Lucia train station to the cruise ship terminals? From a little research, I know it's a real hike from St. Lucia, and the taxi from Mestre is 35 to 40 euro! Is there a bus? Does Princess have any sort of shuttle? We are arriving in Venice mid to late afternoon on November 6 -we spend teh night on board that night - for the Grand Princess Greek Island Cruise

Thanks!

Hello,

It is very inexpensive to go from the Mestre train station to Santa Lucia train station in Venice by train...three years ago it was one Euro. When you are at Santa Lucia, walk out toward Venice and buy a 24 hour Vaporetto Pass and take the vaporetto to the Cruise Marittima. After you board the ship and get settled in, take the vaporetto into Venice AND sit outside in the Vaporetto's front and even better do this at night.

The vaporetto is the Venice public transit system that uses boats instead of buses.

Hope that this helps,

Fred
