Cruiser Nonna Posted June 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2009 If anyone has recently sailed on Journey out of Copenhagen would you know the following - 1. How early able to board the ship on day of embarkation? 2. Where it docked in St Petersburg 3. Were you able to get cash out of the casino and charged to your onboard account - and not - a credit card advance? Any other suggestions which you wish you had known prior to departure? Thank you for taking the time to share
karolm Posted June 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Embarkation in Copenhagen was 11am Cabins were ready at 1:15pm There was a 3% charge to get money from the casino. (I have been on ships previously that did not charge and let you put it on your sign/sail card) What would I have wanted to know beforehand? That I would gain 6 pounds in 14 days so I would have dieted before going on the cruise....... The food was too good.

Kaktus Posted July 15, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2009 We arrived at the ship at 11:00 a.m. embarcation started after a couple of minutes. It was fast. We stayed in public areas until 1:00 p.m. We had lunch. Rooms were ready after 1:00 p.m. a public announcment was made. The ship docks in the Neva River just before the first bridge in St. Petersburg. You can even see the Winter Palace or the open bridges (between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.). If you are going to stay one evening on the ship, you can try Aqualina to have a wonderful meal with a great view.
