Walking the glacier (Alaska)

Hello there, if any one knows what excursions Royal has for walking on the Glacier or taking a bus ride on the glacier will be great, we did it one year but forgot where we did it, going through Royal excursions I do not see any thing about it, please help, it was great, we are doing the Radiance of the sea, I called Royal excursions dept, and they know less then me, they are just there, if you have a prombelm on booking booking a trip.

We used them also, they were great. There was a mistake with our reservations so they gave us the local rate and we saved $100 per person!! We would absolutely use them again and will when we make it up there.

Keep in mind the walking and trekking are two different things. If you just want to walk on a glacier, then that is probably what you'll get through Royal Tours in Juneau. Probably Mendenhall glacier, which you can also take a bus to if you want to walk around it. You'll get within 1/2 to 1/4 mile I'd estimate. If you want to trek (hike) the glacier, then try the link above.

You can also do the helicopter rides that land on the glacier and let you walk around a bit... for me this was the most impressive...
