spaceship Posted May 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2004 Hello there, if any one knows what excursions Royal has for walking on the Glacier or taking a bus ride on the glacier will be great, we did it one year but forgot where we did it, going through Royal excursions I do not see any thing about it, please help, it was great, we are doing the Radiance of the sea, I called Royal excursions dept, and they know less then me, they are just there, if you have a prombelm on booking booking a trip. There was a mistake with our reservations so they gave us the local rate and we saved $100 per person!! We would absolutely use them again and will when we make it up there. If you just want to walk on a glacier, then that is probably what you'll get through Royal Tours in Juneau. Probably Mendenhall glacier, which you can also take a bus to if you want to walk around it. You'll get within 1/2 to 1/4 mile I'd estimate. If you want to trek (hike) the glacier, then try the link above.
