travel sickness

I asked this question before my first ever cruise to Alaska, and I was told "no, everything will be okay. You will be fine." WRONG! I was sick for most of the 7 days in spite of dramamine, seabands, and ginger ale. But mind you, I also get sick just standing on a boat launch.:o

Yes, there is a possibility of getting motion sickness on an Alaskan cruise. It could get rocky especially if you are sailing on the west side of Vancouver Island. However, there are times when the sea is flat calm (this is especially the case when you are in sheltered waters along the inside passage).
