LA Lady Posted July 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2009 Looking at the AutoProgreso site, and I don't see a Chichen Itza tour offered. I thought I remembered reading here that they don't list all their tours on the site. Has anyone done the C I tour through them? DH and I went to Uxmal last year through Carnival, and loved it. Bringing all 3 boys next summer, and was wanting to go to C I, but not spend an arm and a leg.
JJMM Posted July 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2009 We have not done Chichen Itza with AutoProgresso but I happened to email them Monday for more info regarding a tour to Uxmal and others they offer and got the following re Chichen Itza: Chichen Itza $ 49 (adult) and $ 35 (child) 2.0 hours away, duration 6 hours I got the following additional info re Uxmal, but I think it would also apply to Chichen Itza: The only condition for this excursion is that we need to put together groups of at least 8 people. As soon as you arrive, you should approach our office at the pier and we will let you know if we already got enough visitors to join us. If you are six or more, going to the same destination, the problem would be solved anyway. Another important thing to consider is that this tour leaves very early. For example, if the ship docks at 7:00 am we will be leaving around 8:30 am. The cost of the tour includes: air conditioned transportation, entrance fee and english speaking guide. WilliamLawson Posted July 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2009 The trick to enjoying Chichen is to get there as early as possible! It's cooler, there are less tourists and the salespeople have not yet set up shop! :) There is a brief write up here.
