Carol Minyard Posted December 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2004 I am sharing a room with my grandson. His parents are in the room next to me. I do not want his charges put on my account, but on his own or on his parents. Does anyone know what we are to do? Help I am leaving in 2 weeks. Croozin Soozin Posted December 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2004 You don't have to have his charges on your account just because you are sharing a room. When you fill out the form for charges don't add his name to your account. Have him fill out a form of his own and the charges will be applied to whatever means is specified (parents account or his own). Don't worry - have a great cruise!!! rjg41 Posted December 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 20, 2004 Just a couple of exceptions....room service and mini-bar. Mini-bar items are quite expensive so as word to the wise. You can monitor your account via the TV in your room. They will show up there as soon as they are posted.
Adventure Girl Posted December 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2004 Don't fill out your credit card information until you get to the check in at the port. You will just explain that your charges go on your credit card...and your grandson's charges need to go to his parent's credit card. They will do that at check in. Then, just monitor your folio number on your account through the TV system.
superjerryw Posted December 20, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 20, 2004 If you have a concern about items in the minibar you can ask your cabin steward to remove everything when you arrive on board.
Driftwoodgal Posted December 20, 2004 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2004 The older ships will not allow you to view your account on your TV. You can always stop by the Purser's desk and get a print out of your charges. They will also give you a copy of your charges the day before you disembark, so you can discuss any errors at that time. If you have a refrigerator in your cabin, you will have drinks available for your grandson to consume. The Steward will restock any thing that is used, so I would ask that those items be removed from your cabin.
