D702 on Golden in Feb.

My husband and I are in D702 and our friends are in D706 on the Golden. I was wondering if anyone had been in these cabins and what if any noise problems there were being close to the stairs and elevators? Thanks for any help.

We just came back from our cruise Sunday on the Golden. We were in C704, right off the elevators. The travel agent said there were doors that closed between the elevators and cabin hallway but they must be only closed in emergencies. That being said, didn't have one iota of problem with noise and actually was happy to have the stairs/elevator right outside our cabin door. It was about the only time I knew where I was (first cruise, kept heading the wrong direction a lot!!!). I'm not sure if it would make a difference which deck you are on (Dolphin rather than Caribe).
