Diamond Princess: Cabin A403 - Anyone familiar with it?

My husband and I booked a guarantee cabin for a September 12th Alaska cruise on the Diamond Princess. For quite a while, we did not have a cabin assignment but recently cabin A403 is now our cabin on the Princess website. It's Cat II which is what we booked - so doesn't look like the upgrade fairly looked our way.... (we'll be happy with whatever cabin it is; beats being at home and working!)

When looking at the ship diagram for the Aloha Deck (cabin A403), we noticed that instead of the cabin being in the usual "direction" and perpendicular to the front-back of the ship, it is parallel to the ship (front to back). I've not seen a cabin that was set-up that way. Has anyone stayed in these type cabins or seen one? Is the set-up still the same as the other inside cabins?

Also this is our first time booking a guarantee. Once a cabin assignment is made, is that the cabin we'll have or might it change again?

Thanks in advance!
