PintSizedMommy Posted July 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2009 What type of diaper bag do you use when traveling? Shoulder bag? Messenger style? Backpack? Just trying to get an idea of what other people use and what's best for traveling. TIA!
Baxter Posted July 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2009 We take the smallest one we can get away with for moving around the ship. During excursions, we use a regular backpack for everything we take ashore.
sas80 Posted July 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2009 What type of diaper bag do you use when traveling? Shoulder bag? Messenger style? Backpack? Just trying to get an idea of what other people use and what's best for traveling. TIA! We have always used the Columbia backpack style diaper bag. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=columbia+backpack+diaperbag&x=0&y=0 We received this as a baby shower present and immediately chucked our other one. I found regular style diaper bags to be cumbersome to carry because they hang like purses and swing and get in the way. With the backpack style one you can throw it over your shoulders and have both of your hands free. Very nice, especially when traveling!
alise007 Posted July 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2009 We use a kelty kids smallish backpack. It has 2 compartments and holds enough for 2 toddlers! I have had it for 3 yrs now plus a messenger style "girly" one. I rarely use the messenger one these days. Of course hubby prefers the backpack plus it frees up hands and helps when you need to bend over and get things-won't fall off! We usually have a 2nd full sized backpack with cameras and travel items. I haven't cruised with one yet but have done 2 trips to Canada and Germany. Tmrlovesjr Posted July 19, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2009 We have a backpack that we use, even if the baby is home. It holds everything, and has places for water bottle's, and lots of different pockets.
