upontheCs Posted July 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2009 I'm wondering if anyone has done the Shanghai Acrobatic show on their own. My ship will be at the downtown, Gao Yang cruise terminal. Are cabs readilly available? Thanks!
comoxvalley21 Posted July 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2009 We did it on our own but were staying in a hotel and just had the concierge write the address in Chinese for us. Taxis are plentiful and cheap but usually don't speak any English....you need the written instructions. If time you could send for a tourist brochure from Shanghai or perhaps download one from a tourism website. Showing the picture would get you to your destination. Don't forget to see the "secret" purse store in the same building...room 1 is the good; room2 the better; room3 the best with prices going up. bargain bargain bargain. eh2zed Posted July 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2009 We saw the show in April. Its fantastic. We were part of a land tour/Yangtze cruise group. The complex where the show is held is very central. You just need a cab and they seemed plentiful. We were also told to have written in Chinese instructions for the cab drivers if we used a taxi.
