Rain hat question

Hi all-

I wanted to get a wide brimmed hat, the kind with the cord that goes under your chin so it can't blow off... and that would be sort of waterproof and also good to block the sun. (Is that asking too much?) Does anyone have a favorite brand to recommend? Thanks!!

Highly recommend Outdoor Research. DW and I both have their rain hat and one of their sun hats. Well made and they work. Google the name and you will find them at many outdoor retailers.

Ditto for Tilley. I sewed a scarf around the brim of mind (it hang down the back). It makes the hat look much less dorky:D The Tilley hats fold flat for packing.

Columbia and Jack Wolfksin are good !!! But I guess any outdoor brand offers these hats, be sure to try these hats on before buying- nothing is worse than a hat that doesn´t fit or doesn´t suit you....
