Buckeyefan Posted December 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2004 Has anyone had any trouble using Fun Ship "Scrip" Dollars? My niece is selling these through her gymnastics club and I was told that they could be used as Fun Ship Dollars could. Anyone have any experience with these? Fun "script" are not fun ship dollars.Fun script is $$ off a cruise only and not onboard credit. There is also restrictions for each type depending on the fundraiser fine print. bankofdad Posted December 23, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2004 I had the same question a few weeks ago, as my Church/Christian School sells them for fundraising purposes. Our administrator of the Scrip program checked up on it for me (because my final payment is due next month), and she found out that you could not use scrip certificates for onboard credits or for payments if you made your reservation through a travel agent. You can only use the scrip certificates for cruise payments if you booked the cruise directly through Carnival at 1-800-carnival. In that case, you would endorse the scrip certificates (which are sold in $100 demoninations) with your name and reservation code , enclose them with your payment notice, and mail them to Carnival. Scrip really is a nice fundraiser, and we use the program for many things (they offer a variety of retail store and restaurant gift cards/certificates). The carnival certificates earn the seller 8% commission. I hope this helps!
