Bringing Beverages Onboard...

In their brochure, Carnival says you can bring a "small quantity" of non-alcoholic beverages onboard with you. Does anybody have an idea of how much this would mean? From your experiences, how much soda/juice/water have you been able to bring onboard?

Thanks!

Last May, we sailed on the Pride. We brought 2 cases of diet coke and a case of bottled water for two of us, plus a good amount of alcohol. Most of the soda and water were packed in a roll-on ice chest and checked with our other luggage. The alcohol was safely packed in between clothes in our checked suitcases. We had no problems with getting all of this on board.

Yep, 24 packs! We tend to drink a lot of soda. This sure saved a lot of $$ on our sail and sign card. Here is a picture of the ice chest that we checked as luggage. http://community.webshots.com/photo/150098631/150886200yzMvrV

We loaded it without ice. When it arrived at our cabin, we asked the cabin steward for ice. He iced it done twice daily.
