dreamweaver767 Posted July 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2009 Morning all, Am looking to book the above cruise and was just a tad apprehensive travelling late in September, anybody any ideas on what the weather will be like, I know once into the med it will be ok but just the route down the Atlantic ( bay of Biscay) not bothered for me but the wife still cant find her sea legs. Did the bay in April and was like a mill pond both legs, but I have heard that it can be a touch bad if it gets rough. Saying that we did hit a force 9 in the med 2 years ago for 12 hours and it wasn’t much fun. Rgds dreamweaver767
tom_uk Posted July 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2009 I did a Canary Islands cruise last autumn (28/9 to 10/10) on Ventura, with outward calls at La Coruna & Madeira, and return calls at Lisbon & Vigo. We had no problem with the bay at that time. The sea was very calm and Ventura was very stable. I remember sitting on our balcony in the sun on the way north after Vigo and thinking how very, very pleasant it was. Of course, it got progressively cooler on the way home.
