flashdog_1 Posted July 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2009 It showed a picture of part of a whale (I could tell it was a humpback) and part of a hull of a ship, but I did not hear what port, what cruise line or the circumstances. What happened? This was on tv CNN around noon Central time.

Urban trekker Posted July 27, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2009 It was on a Princess ship sailing between Vancouver and Alaska. Here's a link to several news report on the incident. http://www.theprovince.com/travel/Princess+cruise+ship+impales+whale+docks+Vancouver+port/1829040/story.html It has been given a proper burial at sea. Hope this answers your question Cheers Dennis

What happened? This was on tv CNN around noon Central time. After due deliberation I have logically deduced the whale was culpable - not Princess. The whale was attacking the ship, so therefore, the captain can rightfully claim he rammed the whale in self defense. I foresee Princess will file suit against Green Peace. With the whaling ban the whales are becoming increasingly dangerous, aggressive and an extreme threat to mariners. ;)
