Zipline on Beno?

My family will be stopping in Dominca over Xmas break and I was looking at the various options. We did Levi last year and Beno seems to get pretty good reviews. I was looking at his website and under the adventure tours tab there appears to be somebody ziplining. I didn't see anything that mentioned this so if any of you knew which tour that you be it would be greatly appreciated.

The group that you were seeing on Beno's website is actually me and my family and friends. We had a group of 43 people 3 years ago. Half the group wanted to zipline and the other half wanted to do the tram. Beno arranged two seperate tours to accommodate our needs. Both groups got tours of the islands as well as the above mentioned adventures. Be prepared though for the zipline....it is actually a obstacle course and quite challenging but alot of fun...and NO flipflops ( they had to duct tape some peoples sandels to their feet).

The best thing about Beno's tours is that he will customize the tour just for you and is VERY knowledgable about the beautiful island that he luckily can call home. We had Beno for a tour guide this last Feb. and will be using him again next February as there is plenty to see in Dominica. I would gladly answer any questions that you may have.

Mr Nice's fruit stand is a must first of all. This last time we went to the Emerald Pool ( we had been there but not the couple we were with), and then to the southern part of the island where the Caribbean Sea and the Altlantic Ocean meet. The flowers on Dominica are amazing. We have been to the falls on a past cruise ( difficult to do the pool and falls on the same day as they are not very close together).Several scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed there so he showed us those areas. ( cool to see). He will take you anywhere you like, all the top tourist spots and the less popular ones, and therefore less people too:).......:)

If you just want to do the canopy tour/zipline, it's available through WackyRollers [see their website]. This is not available independently from some ships, although it was from ours. We were the only two on the zipline!! It was a challenge, that's true, but I'm a "chicken" [and not a spring chicken, either] and not an exercise nut, and I was able to do it. I skipped the "Tarzan swing" due to bad shoulders, but it was a lot of fund and I was very proud of myself for having done it. You definitely want some type of supportive shoe, as the steel "tightropes" you walk are hard on the feet.

I have no idea whether this tour is available with a tour of the island. The same company does do a river tubing excursion - a couple who went in the van with us did that but said it wasn't that great, as the river was pretty low.

We used Wacky Rollers too and it was SO much fun!! A good workout, but no regrets!! I'd recommend them!

This attached pic is the last zipline run of the course. It goes over a river (which is low due to the drought).
