tikipeople Posted July 31, 2009 #76 Share Posted July 31, 2009 I also got the letter and was confused by the intent. Since the fine print did sound like you would be responsible for everything other than the cruise i.e. taxes, port charges, etc, I gave them a call. I straight out asked the rep if the offer was for a complimentary cruise or was I reading the letter incorrectly. The Players Club Rep that I spoke with said I wasn't reading the letter incorrectly. It was for a free cruise, however the response had been so overwhelming to the offer there were no free cabins left. The letter I received the next day reiterated the overwhelming response to the cruise...blah, blah, blah. I believe someone made a huge mistake and they are covering their behinds. I'm curious who the "overwhelming response" was and if they really did get the free cabins as I was told. BTW, I have dropped enough cash in their casinos to deserve a free cruise. Not in the 1K category mentioned earlier. :p
lel5344 Posted July 31, 2009 #77 Share Posted July 31, 2009 We often get 1 free drink each night. I notice that the casino host wanders around looking at the tally on the machines. I think they look to see your credits and can punch in your machine number to see how long you've been playing. We move around the casino quite a bit so we make sure we speak to the casino host so they know we've been in there a while. We also tend to play only the dollar machines - don't know if that has any bearing on anything or not. We go every night about the same time so the same host is on duty. Once they get to "know" you, you get the drinks. On one of our cruises, we were given "Princess Casino" tee shirts and a travel bag. I don't think they have those anymore though. We play penny slots. I think my wife may have been offered a paper cup of warm water...

I played a nickel slot once (where you could bet up to 45 plus up to $1.00 increments) and I put $1 in a machine and bet 1 line, 1 nickel and won 1,800 nickels. I thought that was pretty good for what I wagered!! I ended up walking away with almost $200 betting nickels!!
Kittycatwlv Posted August 1, 2009 #79 Share Posted August 1, 2009 I think it was misleading because they delineated what the OP would have to pay for when they said taxes and alcohol etc....
