kycruise Posted July 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2009 I'm sailing on the Inspiration on Sept 12 and airfares just took a $50 dive. Can I make an 11:15 return flight if I use a cab instead of Carnival's transportation?? Thanks!
dotshub Posted July 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2009 It may be possible if you are one of the first groups to debark and not one of the later ones. But personally I would not risk it, that seems to be cutting it too close for my comfort.
walkswife Posted July 30, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2009 Did 11:25 out of Tampa in 2006.... went down to the pursers desk the last night and showed them our itinerary.... they gave us VIP luggage tags.... we were off the ship by 9 and at the airport by 9:30.... granted we were lucky with no customs delays or anything and could grab a taxi immediately.... so it can be done if everything goes right.... but have a back up plan... stlrboo Posted July 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2009 We did 'self assist' in Tampa in June from the Legend (we each had a large wheeled suitcase and a carry-on), and were off the ship by 730 AM and at the airport (grabbed a cab from the line - $25.00 flat rate) just before 8 AM!:o We were there before the four hour window for our 1215 flight, so had to wait 25 minutes to check our bags..:D Piece of cake.. Our previous sailing on the Miracle, we had an 1150 AM flight, waited for our # to be called, and were at the airport by 10 AM!:p They were letting us debark per our flight times.. before 11, before 12, etc...!:) Tampa is the quickest port/airport we have experienced.. FLL is close, but their 'security' check flow leaves a lot to be desired, but then they usually have six or seven ships in port on busy days!;)
