Off the ship in time?

We are just booking our excursion in GC today. We're on the Freedom and website says we arrive there at 7am. The way we figured out the time issue, sounds like ship time will be same time as GC in Nov.

Our excursion starts at 8am, about a minute or two from terminal, we're not booking thru Carnival. Should we be worried about making it on time?

Should I let them know ahead of time that we have this excursion even though we didn't book through them.

We welcome all advise on this issue.
