We are booked on NCL Jade for a trip including Alexandria. Having been to the pyramids and not wanting to do it again, we are very interested in an archeological dive in Alexandria. Research shows 1 dive shop advertising dives.

Has anyone experience in this?

This from KTSunny – we are planning a trip to Egypt, a 7 night river cruise, with 6 nights in Cairo and 4 nights in Alexandria (most likely for next Jan). I too was wondering if we might get a dive or two in. I’m assuming that if they have PADI dive centers, we would have similar experiences to those in Mexico and the Caribbean? So – I have no answers for you – but rather the same questions. Hopefully some world savvy divers will supply info! :D

These dives look very interesting. We too have done the Cairo thing and are looking for something different.

 

No one from Cruise Critic has tried these?

I sent emails to two dive operators in Alexandria and have not received a response as yet. To dive deeper (pun intended) I have contacted PADI and am waiting for something further.

 

Have you heard about the discovery of Cleopatra's Temple in the harbor?
