gold rock beach question

Does anyone know approx. how far it is from port to gold rock beach, and what the cab ride cost. Are cabs readily available at that location for return trip to port?

It's about 1 hour from the cruise pier, it will cost you probably $50 to $60 each way, and cabs are not available for the return trip. If you want to visit Gold Rock Beach, you will want to either rent a car or take a tour. Make sure you will be there at low tide, otherwise it is not worth the trip. It is nothing to see at high tide, and barely any beach.

Thanks for helping to eliminate one idea. May just go to Port Lucaya and hang out at Bateman's coconut stand. We're not going to be there long enough to justify the two hour ride. Again, thank you.
