Dancing opportunities on the Island Princess.

My husband and I, who are avid dancers, will be taking our first cruise on the Island Princess this summer. We are very much looking forward to the opportunity to dance 'til we drop every night of the week.

We are having visions of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in a huge ballroom with a 17 piece swing band. Will we be very pleased with what we find, or will we be very disappointed?

How many dance venues are there on this ship?

What types of bands/music are available?

Or do they even have bands?

Do they have wooden dance floors?

How big are the dance floors?

Are they crowded?

We love all kinds of ballroom dance--salsa, swing, foxtrot, blues, waltz, cha cha--you name it, we love it.

Any feedback from dancers who have sailed on the Island Princess would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Punki
