new to Carnival - Lots of cabins suddenly opened

We booked our cruise mid-June for the end of August. We have an OV guarantee on the Paradise (which is fine). For the longest time, they showed only 6D and 6E available for OV and suddenly today, they have all levels opened. Does anyone know what happens about 30 days out that would explain this? Haven't seen this happen before on other lines and it now appears our ship is quite empty (which is fine by me).

Sounds like the Guarantees got their upgrades/assignments.

Or travel agencies that had blocks of rooms turned them back in.

Also, sounds like some people did not make their final payments and their cruises were cancled. Thats sometimes the reason cabins come available at the 'last minute'

Well it wouldn't be because people backed out before final payment.......it looks like at the time you booked was when final payment was due......

It is less then 30 days out now........Maybe just alot of cancellations?

There are also cabins that sleep 3 & 4 people that are only given out if you have that many in your party. At certain mysterious points, Carnival releases those cabins so that even a couple can book those rooms.
