Voyager vs. Mariner/Navigator

Recommended Posts

Other than the fact Navigator & Mariner are newer ships, is there much difference between them and the Voyager? We are looking at our first cruise for Feb. 2005 and I'm trying to get a feel for the ships (also looking at Princess Grand-class). We will have 4 kids aged 9 to 15, so are looking for plenty to keep them occupied.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Sammy

We have been on all of the voyager class ships, except the Mariner and they are all beautiful. Which ever one you choose your family will have a wonderful time. The kids will love all of the activities onboard these ships.

my understanding is that VOS, EOS, and AOS all are outfitted similarly. MOS and NOS, the newer ships, are similar to each other, yet different than the other three sister ships. (so two "groups")

MOS and NOS have a differnt design for the balconies, offering windows for deck railings, where as V/E/A offer solid steel railings. V/E/A offer a kids pool and area known as Adventure beach, on M/N this is not offered, but the space is used to expand the Adventure Ocean facilities by a large amount.

Not sure about this one, but I think M/N offer Jade within the Windjammer, while V/E/A do not, but need someone who has been on these ships recently to confirm.

Otherwise, they are very similar

...left until Navigator of the Seas 11/13/04

The windjammer (Buffet) on the newer 2 are set up differently.

There is a latin bar on the new 2 vs an aquarium bar on the other 2.

Just small differences, not a big deal!
