steph428 Posted May 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2004 I am curious as to what the typical selection in the Windjammer is on Formal night if one were to choose to dine there instead? Enchantment of the Seas
cmason Posted May 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2004 typically, the Windjammer offers the same entrees as available in the dining room. not sure if formal night is any different ...left until Navigator of the Seas 11/13/
Folgy Posted May 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2004 No worries , the menu is most usually the same.If we are on an excursion and get back too late to dress acordingly for the nights requested attire we just go to the Windjammer. Hoopster3145 Posted May 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2004 The same as usual, there is the average amount of people there too. I usually skip at least 1 formal night and go to the windjammer. reggierail Posted May 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I've eaten in the Windjammer on formal night on my last 2 cruises on the Monarch. I just didn't feel I needed to rent a tux for just one formal night. The food was very good on both occasions. There was a very delicious lobster bisque and a very tasty duck on a bed of red cabbage that I had seconds of. There was a very nice variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. There were several waiters coming around to the tables with drinks and offering to get you something else. Although I missed the pampering in the main dining room, I enjoyed the casual alternative. dkort Posted May 12, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Hi there. We had a late seating with our daughter on voyager. B/f dinner, we went to the windjammer earlier in the evening on the second formal night. I definitely remember the food being above average. If you do not feel like going into the dining room on any of the formal nights, the windjammer is a great alternative. In fact, you can order room service and get pretty much anything offered in the main dining rooms to just sit on your balcony and enjoy the evening. Another nice feature on royal. steph428 Posted May 12, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted May 12, 2004 This is good to know. My husband is reluctant to dress up and I didn't want to miss out on anything just because we decide not to go formal. Thanks! Enchantment of the Seas
