ishophepays Posted August 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2009 Staying at the Sheraton in Boston, 39 Dalton. Anyone know how much it would cost to get to the pier, and method of transportation best to use. Also, need transportation at end of cruise from port to Boston airport. 138east Posted August 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2009 Boston hotels that are not at the airport typically do not have airport shuttles. Cab is your primary option from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the pier. There are public transit ("T") options, but typically they involve the Green Line trolley - neither the Green line trolleys nor their stations are luggage friendly. The best option to save some money is to take the Silver Line bus (luggage friendly - something like a rental car shuttle but lots bigger) from the airport to South Station (lots of elevators and escalators) and take a cab to the hotel from there. You could do the same going to the pier, but the extra cab $$ to continue from South Station to the pier are not as significant as paying the extra tolls to go to or from the airport.
