We will be in Barbados in Feb. of next year and are considering going to The Boatyard. Has anyone spent a day there, and if so how did you like it?

We did. It was OK - not great. Probably wouldn't go back but didn't hate it either.

 

Nice beach a couple of miles from the cruise ship pier in Bridgetown located in....an old boatyard.....that is not very attractive.

 

The beach itself is nice, you get a beach chair and umbrella if one is available. They have a trampoline and climbing rock / slide that you can use. Also a beach restaurant and bar on the property. The food was basically bar food. I recall there being jet skis availabe for rent as well.

 

They have a nice website but IMHO the website is much nicer than the property. Others might disagree but that is my assessment. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I kind of agree. Been there, done that, and don't care to do it again. I like the more typical caribbean type beach. The Boatyard is far from that.

There is a fee. I believe it is about $15 pp which includes transportation to and from the pier.
