Confused-Drinks, DOD and Soda Card?

Sorry, I am so confused after reading so many posts regarding DOD, Soda Card, bringing soda and wine on board...please clarify.

1/ Can you bring a bottle of wine for each person that is over 21. Can we carry this wine in the carry on, in a box container or do we have to actually pack it in the luggage and check in?

2/ Soda- we can sneak these in the suitcase right?

3/ SODA card...how much are they for a 7 days cruise for adult and for child?

4/ DOD...is it $ 23 for 5 drinks? Do you need to use it all in one day? Can you spread the 5 drinks like 2 or 3 days?

5/ Can we bring bottle water on board when we dock at each port?

Thank you,

Tibbie

1- yes it is 1 per 21/you can carry it in carry-on

2- no sneaking needed - Carnival states that a small quantity can be brought on board... many put a case of soda/water in checked luggage

3 - not sure but I think around $6 per day (plus tip)

4 - If offered it is $23 PLUS tip and can be used all in one day or one each day.

5- see 2

Your welcome

I agree with everything that bobsfamily said but wanted to add a little more:

Soda card - $6/adult 18+; $4.50/child up to 18 per day plus 15% gratuity

Drink of Day Card - $23.95 plus 15% gratuity...you can drink them however you would like - one a day, all at once, two one day and three on the last day. You can also give them your souvenir cup to refill - they're a little bigger than 'regular' cups they give you for them. On my last cruise bartenders were asking for my souvenir cup to refill for it.
