Kenai Fjords trip - small or larger boat?

Going on Millenium on Aug 28. Want to take Kenai Fjord National park 6 hour tour. Those of you who have done this, I would like your thoughts on small vs larger boats. Also, the independents you have used. Also, when in Skagway, did anyone take the fast speed ferry to Haines? What did you do there?

We used Renown for the Kenai Fjord 6 hour trip. They have a large catamaran which probably takes the rough water a little better than the smaller boats.

I do believe that the last run of the small boats with Kenai Fjord Tours is next weekend. The season for these tours is starting to wind down a bit.
