lmulhearn Posted May 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Has anyone stayed in the rooms that overlook the Royal Promenade? Are they noisy? Private - do you ever feel like people can see into your room? Thanks!
cmason Posted May 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2004 might want to do a search on the term 'promenade", as it will bring up all your answers. Lots of comments on them, many like them., yes people can see in your room, but there are curtains, and it is not noisy. ...left until Navigator of the Seas 11/13/
AdrieneAGD Posted May 12, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I've booked one for our cruise in September... from what others have posted, the ones on deck six can get kind of noisy, especially if it's one of the ones above the pub. You also probably want to be careful to keep the curtains closed if you're in your room in the altogether. But other than that, they looked like a neat alternative to an inside stateroom. gkrebs Posted May 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2004 they are a good alt to an inside room, but you must keep the curtains closed if you are changing or anything like that. At night you can see right in to other peoples rooms. TBRay Posted May 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Yes, use the search feature under "Atrium" and you should see quite a few threads on them. We've stayed on three Promenade cabins on three different Voyager class vessels. The glass is sound proofed so you really don't hear noise. We prefer the 8th deck but you'll hear lots of debate on that. I know between staying towards the front of the ship or the middle we preferred the middle. It just seemed close to elevators and was able to reach any part of the ship easily (IMHO). And yes, people directly across can see right into your cabin. You have two sets of blinds. A white see-through blind and a room darkening heavy set. Just be sure to pull them BEFORE you come out of the shower. LOL!
LLM Posted May 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2004 We had one October past on Deck 7 on the Voyager. We really enjoyed the cabin. We have another one booked for this October for the Mariner. We didn't hear any noise at all. Lisa Until Mariner of the Seas Voyager of the Seas - Oct. 2003
Candleonwater Posted May 12, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2004 We just stayed in one... and it was NOISY. We were on deck 7, overlooking Vintages. Fortunately the major noise was early in the evening, as my daughter was getting ready for bed, and wrapped up just in time for her to lay her head down. No privacy if you leave the curtains open, but never ran into a problem with that. I probably will never book a PR room again (size reasons), but would choose it over an inside room (ANYDAY!) as at least you do have a window to look out. <MARQUEE>Navigator of the Seas March 26, 2005</MARQUEE> Mariner of the Seas 4/11/04 Disney Magic 12/01/
