Another question about tips!

I've been reading all about the tipping debate...I just wondered if anyone knows whether Camp Carnival staff are given tips from the auto tip pool? I know that last time the staff at Camp Carnival were just amazing and I wrote to Carnival about them but I had a hard time finding any on the last day to give them a tip. Are they included? Or should I try to catch them before the last day?

no, you should definitely try to catch them.

 

a limited number of passengers, if even 30%, utilize the camp carnival services, so as far as i know they are NOT included in the split of the 10/day auto tips.

 

as these services are rendered per need of the passenger, that's extra - kinda like room service. not everybody uses it, hence why it is customary to tip them for the service.

 

and in the case of camp carnival, their job is a lot harder than delivering a BLT late night. find 'em, or tip them ahead of time if you're concerned. they deserve it, then some :D

Tip or not as you feel, but the camp employees are salaried like the entertainers.

Thanks for the info. It's good to know. I don't know about all ships, but the crew on Carnival Glory was great. We are on the Sensation in Nov so I hope the Camp Carnival will be just as much fun for my girls:D
