Ilivetogo Posted August 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2009 Anybody been here fairly recently? We were told by someone from Ketchikan that the place to buy the "mini totems" from the locals (rather than the "Made in China" ones ...) is at Potlach Park. What we were wondering is if someone's been recently, if you can tell me about how much they cost?? (approx.) and also what other items they may sell at this same place. I really have NO idea the cost at this point. Also, the not-so-real, Made in China ones at the stores, how much are they? Thank you so much for your input!! crazycath Posted August 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2009 I was there end of July, and they have a gift store with all shapes and sizes of Totems. Prices were resonable for the handmade totems. They had a sale table that started around 10 dollars and up to very large totems that were expensive. There is a lady that carves at Potlach Park, she wasnt there when we were there but her cat was. They also had a little museum with antique guns and other stuff. We had a private tour with Dave from Ketchikan Taxis it was worth it as he explained all to us. You can google his tour for more info but definately worth it. Here are some pics of Potlach park, I did not take any pics of the Totems in the store I didnt think it was appropiate. Any question, email me crazycath2@hotmail.com Cathy Cathy
