shotzyok Posted August 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2009 We are newly certified and looking for dive operators that are willing to take on some newbies. Cruising in October. Any suggestions???
bruce-r Posted August 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2009 St. Thomas: http://www.admiraltydive.com Grand Turk: Blue Water Divers St. Maarten: go to Orient Beach. I wouldn't dive here again. All the dive sites are out in the open ocean, so unless the ocean is dead flat calm, the ride to the dive sites can be "unpleasant" and getting back into the boat quite challenging. scuabacruiser Posted August 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2009 We are newly certified and looking for dive operators that are willing to take on some newbies. Cruising in October. Any suggestions??? Never been to Grand Turk, but at St Thomas we have used and like Blue Island Divers. They will pick you up and bring you back to the cruise ship docks. Let them know that you are newly certificated and they will take care of you. We have heard good things about Admiralty but we have never used them. ashtyn Posted August 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2009 I would suggest Homer is St Thomas. My husband was afraid to learn to dive and he took a day with Homer to do a "discovery dive". Since then he has gotten his certification and we go diving with Homer everytime we end up in St Thomas. I believe if you do a google search of Homer in St Thomas he will come up. We are already booked with him this year to go diving with him again.
