Book with Priceline, do I have to call the hotel before I leave?

Recommended Posts

I booked a month ago with Priceline, I was wondering if it is better to call the hotel before I leave to be sure that they have my booking...?

Are they have our name for that booking with Priceline?

Thanks !

We have booked probably 15 hotel stays with Priceline and have never had a problem. I have never called, but I do make sure that I print out my confirmation and have it with me. Lots of people like to call and it probably is a good idea. The hotel will have all of the information about your reservation same as if you had made it direct with the hotel or any other travel service.

I have never used Priceline so I cannot comment on that. I mostly use the hotel chain's web site, print out my confirmation, and then I do call a few days before I leave directly to the hotel to confirm. Sure don't like surprises and gives me time to initiate a plan B if there is a miscommunication of some kind. Guess it is to each their own.
