Bringing soda not alcohol caribbean sailings

Can people bring soda onboard Costa ships that sail out of Ft lauderdale? or do they take it from you and not give it back until the final night like they do with alcohol?

I don't drink alcohol at all and I've read their prices on drinks I was thinking 2-6packs of the 16.9oz bottles which would cost the same as just 2 drinks on the ship.

When we cruised with Costa two years ago out of FLL we brought a few twelve packs of pop. I dont think they check through your stuff at initial check in. We are cruising with Costa again in January and plan to do the same thing.

You can carry it right on. Just let them scan it and in you go.
