DedeM Posted May 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I got off the ship Saturday 5/8 at 8:30 am and I'm still rocking and nauseous. I wasn't even seasick on the SHIP! Well, I was one night a tiny bit, but not THAT bad - not like this week! What can I do? It's been almost 5 days! Is there a non-drowsy dramamine thing I can take? What about those bands, where do you get those? Will these things work on land? Oh, and I tried the bloody mary's on Sunday and they didn't help thanks in advance. leeannml Posted May 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Mine lasted almost 2 weeks! It got better each day. I never felt nauseous, just dizzy. Others have suggested trying over the counter sinus medication. I haven't tried that, but it makes sense.
justcruzin85374 Posted May 12, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I know what you mean, you have what is know as: Mal de Debarquement Syndrome ... my remedy is to take two cruises and call me in the morning! Seriously, a lot of people take Bonnie for a few days even after the cruise it seems to help. Hopefully it won't last too much longer. Soveriegn 92 E. Caribbean Majesty 95 W. Caribbean Granduer 97 E. LisaB19 Posted May 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I'm having the same problem, got off the Brilliance a week and a half ago. Did this last year as well and it lasted about 2 weeks. It's a horrible feeling, but worth it! Lisa Days until we sail the Brilliance again on 3/7/05! DedeM Posted May 12, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 12, 2004 2 weeks??? AAAACCCKKK!!! You poor thing! I hope that doesn't happen to me! I'm not nauseous all the time, but sometimes the dizziness makes me nauseous a little bit. I still manage to eat though LOL. I will try some of that bonnomine stuff, I hope THAT doesn't make me sleepy though. I do have to work - even though I daydream about the cruise a lot!
