Anyone taken the water taxi to Ambergris Cay?

Would like to do this. Wondering about timing...don't want to miss the ship. From what I have read, it takes about an hour each way. About what time did you get the water taxi over and back? Was the ride fairly smooth? Thanks for any insight you can offer!

Lots of info here. This says its 75 min each way. I wouldn't risk a water taxi, but the puddle jumper flight to San Pedro is a blast. :)

Shoretrips.com offers the Cessna flight over to Amergris Caye. We're thinking about doing the fly and dive to Amergris Caye, but the other excursion is just the flight over and you spend the time enjoying the island/beaches. It talks about the flight being at 1500 feet and having a great view of the barrier reef. It sounds really cool.
