We will have an overnight in Venice in about 3 weeks, our second day, we leave around 2 pm. will be a Sunday. Are shops, cafes, etc. open on Sunday and do they open in the morning? Also, we were thinking of possibly going to Murano, how about Sunday hours there, does anyone know?

Hi, on Sundays usually you find the most part of shops, cafès etc. opened, quite sure in the S.Marc's Square zone. At 2pm some of them can be closed for "siesta", but then open at 3.30-4.00 pm.

Leave yourself plenty of time. Venice can be a zoo on Sunday. Allow at least 2-1/2 hours plus the time it will take to get to the aiport from your last location.

When we ended our cruise in Venice was Sunday and most of the clothing shops were closed.

In St. Mark's and Rialto areas the souvenirs shops, artistic glass shops were opened.

Anyway going to Murano is a good idea on Sunday, when almost everything is opened...
