lovevacadays Posted August 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2009 We will be sailing on Princess in November and will be doing the Tulum tour. Once we get back is there typically time to do a little exploring by the dock? What is the area around the dock like?

bruce-r Posted August 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2009 We will be sailing on Princess in November and will be doing the Tulum tour. Once we get back is there typically time to do a little exploring by the dock? Typically there is some time to shop at the pier area if you aren't too tired from the trip to Tulum. What is the area around the dock like? Each of the piers has all the typical tourist shopping you'd expect to find. Lots of "Duty Free" stores and t-shirt shops. tandemcruzr Posted August 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2009 You will most likely be at the Punta Langosta Pier, which is the 'downtown' pier. The Punta Langosta Mall is at the end of the pier. Easy walk from there to all the shops on the waterfront and to the town square. If you are at the International Pier, there are shops as bruce-r said, but you will need a taxi to town if you want more variety. In January, it was $7US for up to 4 people. It's unlikely you'll be at the Puerta Maya Pier, since it is a Carnival Pier. It is next door to the International Pier, so the same comments apply.
