7000 points is nothing, many players hit that by second day. They don't comp for handpays unless you rate the big check with photo. Many max bet players hit a ton of handpays for line hits.

Carnival ridiculous overpriced merchanise

Have you ever seen anyone buy sunglasses at a Sunglass Hut? I haven't but I have see the Sunglass Hut's owner's mansion and yacht. -
It is your status in land casinos that keeps the offers coming. Ocean Players Club know what it takes to earn and keep that status plus onboard, you can't jump to another casino

Once you have vacated your room at 8:30 am, the rooms are opened. Anyone can walk in including people still onboard, people on B2Bs and oncoming guests. Doors aren't closed again until ready for new guests. -
Their unwillingness to publish reward tiers encourages players to spend " a little more" because they "will get" offers. When comps or offers don't materialize, they accept that they didn't spend enough and every social media group tells them that. Next trip, they spend more. If they said at 5000 points you get a free interior, people would stop at 5001 points. It is quite genius especially since those who splash their comps online lie about how much they spent.

Onboard comps are impacted both by the comps you already received on your booking offer and other players on your specific cruise. If there are "ECHO" players onboard (Carnival's version of whales), they do suck up most of the comps as well as when there is a casino sailing on board (Premier/Ultra/Elite). There will be signage in the casino is that is happening. The only time "points" mean anything towards future offers is a "bounce back" offer received at the end of your cruise. Your overall onboard spending and method of payment can impact future offers. You also need to be sure you have opted in every time Carnival asks if you want to receive promotional offers including during online check in and on your profile. Slot points are objective but table points are subjective. Slot machines don't care if you are rude, snap your fingers or don't tip. Table dealers/pit bosses do.

Free drinks everywhere for one/Drink package for partner
Elaine5715 replied to koolcat65's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
If you have the offer with free drinks only in the casino, both of you would be required to purchase CHEERS if one wanted it. The exception is only for those with the free drinks all over the ship which is the casino has purchased CHEERS for them already so they permit the second person to buy CHEERS onboard -

On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less, per person.
