prerel Posted August 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2010 What is the process for tenders in Fuerte Amador? Rotterdam arrives at 10am and departs at 4pm the next day. Do ships excursions have priority over private excursions? Do tenders run after dark? How long does it take from ship to shore? I've read where the ships go far enough out to sea to be able to open the casino. Any tips are welcome. Thanks Preston
Appygirl Posted August 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2010 Wow! That's a long time anchored there. Ship excursions are given priority. Everyone else goes to a predetermined area usually a bar or dining room when they're ready to go ashore and are put on the next available tender. You might have to wait 10 minutes or so. Its only a few minutes by tender. Probably no more than 10 minutes to the marina. The hours the Rotterdam is running tenders will be posted so its a good guess they'll be running at night but you could probably call HAL and get an answer. Thanks Appygirl,we have booked a tour with Anne of Embera Tours who picks us up from the dock at 8.00am and return before 4.00pm,so we can visit the canal at Miraflores Locks the day before.
