Is it really that big of a deal on the Mediterranea? Do a lot participate?

I'm not a party expert but I can tell you that there was definitely a white hot party on our last Costa cruise which seemed pretty big and elaborate but not as big as the ones I've seen on NCL. This was on the Costa Mediterranea in June 2015.

Yes it can be. Party up on the pool deck the same night with music and dancing. Many people don't know about it before they board.

There is also the Italian night, passengers can dress in white, red & green.

I knew about the white night and couldn't find (as a man) white trousers in my size (3XL) so on my last cruise I dressed the opposite and went on the "white night" all in black :) so did in the second week when it was repeated my father...
