PV Weather

For the next 15 days the forecast for Puerto Vallarta is thunderstorms with an 80% chance of rain.

Is this just a normal afternoon shower, or is it an all day long thing?

Tropical rain, spotty rain and clouds, then sunshine, then rain and clouds, over and over, all day long.

This is the rainy season in PV. Showers and even heavy rain is quite common this time of year which is why this is not considered part of the main tourist season. In PV things start to pick up in November and hit the season peak from Dec-March (some might say April).

We live in PV during the winter, and there are years when there will be no rain in those months. Even in the bad years we might have only 3 or 4 lousy days in the entire winter season.
