Shore Excursions through Carnival

What should I expect with my shore excursion, booked through Carnival, on the day of the excursion. Do we meet at a specific location on the ship (stated on our excursion ticket); then be escorted off by a carnival staff member to meet with our tour? Or do we meet the tour guides off the ship? Is transportation to and from our tour provided? Thanks!

It depends on the tour. In our experience for tours that leave shortly after a ship docks you meet in a central location (i.e. restaurant or theatre) and then you are sent out in order of your tour. You then meet a tour representative who holds up a placard indicating the name of the tour just outside the ship.

For tours that leave later in the day we have been asked to meet the tour representative in or near the terminal building. They hold up the same placard and you find them.

How and where you meet will be designated on your tour ticket which will be delivered to your room on the first day. Transportation has been included on every tour we have ever done and if it isn't it would be specified.

You will have information delivered to your cabin- it will list a meeting place and time on board- head there at your scheduled time and then you will get in line to debark.

It will also list a predetermined meeting place and time to meet your tour guide (usually right there at the pier once you get off the ship) so once you are off the ship, just head to your meeting spot and have a fun excursion.

read the excursion details on the website or in the book they have on the ship. in the details, they usually tell the kind of transportation they use (like min bus, boat, etc)

on the ship, on you shore excursions tickets they tell you were to meet. please sure you read it very careful. Sometimes it can be as ship as meting on the pier next to the ship or a specific location on the ship for tendering.

I do most of my shore excursions through independent companies; however, on my last cruise through carnival my family and I did one of carnival's excursions because were concerned about time.

We met our group in one of the entertainment rooms on the ship and walked off together to a ferry that we took to start the excursion. We really enjoyed the carnival excursion. Yes, transportation is provided to & from excursion
